About This Lesson

In today’s lesson I’ll show you a fingerstyle arrangement of Deck the Halls. This makes for a fun, relatively beginner-friendly way to settle into this classic Christmas tune. We’ll be in the Key of G, which makes for relatively accessible chord shapes & hand positions from start to finish.

Adding an Extra Finger to the “Pinch”

If you’re looking for a way to fill out & expand the arrangement I show in my main lesson, check out what I’m doing here. I show how you can add a third finger to the two-finger “pinch” technique I show in my main tutorial. I’ve written up tabs showing this, which are included on page 2 of my PDF guide. This video explains the technique, and ends with a full playthrough putting it to use.
