If you want to play two-string shuffle riffs in any key other than A Major or E Major, you’ll need to make a few adjustments! A bit more stretching is required — but there’s only two patterns to memorize that’ll work for all use cases. In this lesson I’ll show you both patterns, and explain how to use either to play the shuffle riff over I-IV-V chords in any key.
Note, this technique is a bit tricky because of the pinky stretch required! If it gives you trouble, don’t feel at all bad about moving onward — you can always come back to this topic later.
