Vidami YouTube Looper Now Works on SongNotes.net!

Lesson #469 • Jan 28, 2023

Hey there, friends! I’m quite happy to announce the Vidami YouTube Looper now works on my website, SongNotes.net. If you’re new to Vidami, it’s a wireless pedal that you can connect to your computer via Bluetooth — and it allows you to control videos on YouTube.com (and 55+ other platforms). Here’s an overview of how it works:

You can skip ahead, go backwards, play & pause, slow videos down, and even create loops — all while keeping your hands on the guitar. It makes guitar practice so much easier, since you’re not having to constantly reach for the mouse to adjust whatever video you’re watching. The pedal itself has just 5 simple buttons. It’s quite easy to learn:

Watch my video above to see a tour of each of these features. Plus, I demonstrate additional modes — including page turning (to control apps like OnSong, Ultimate Guitar Tabs, etc) as well as DAW control (for Logic, GarageBand, Ableton, etc).

  • 0:00 Overview
  • 1:08 Playback Controls
  • 2:16 Speed Controls
  • 3:54 Loop Controls
  • 4:59 Page Turner Mode
  • 6:03 DAW Control Mode

How I Learned About This Pedal

This is a pedal I learned about via a few different folks in the Song Notes community, who wrote in asking if I could add my site to the list of supported platforms. I reached out to Vidami, who was kind enough to send me a pedal to try myself. I was skeptical, as I’ve never been much of a pedal-person.

To be honest, many companies have sent me gear & gadgets over the years, with hopes I’ll promote them on this channel. Up until now, I’ve declined every single one of these offers. Simply because the products aren’t something I find myself using — and it’s important that I only recommend things I genuinely believe are useful.

With this pedal, it’s a no brainer. Since the day I’ve set it up, I’ve used it every time I’m following along with a lesson on YouTube. If you’re interested in making guitar practice in front of a computer a bit less complicated, I can’t recommend it enough. It keeps your hands where they belong… on the guitar!

Where Else Can You Use Vidami?
