Long Long Time

by Linda Ronstadt • Lesson #471 • Feb 2, 2023

Description

In this week’s lesson I’m excited to show you an easy way to get started playing Long Long Time by Linda Ronstadt. I’ll teach you a fingerstyle version, mimicking what you hear in Ronstadt’s recorded version — but I’ll be using a slightly simplified fingerpicking pattern you can easily apply to all the chords in the song. In the second half of the lesson I’ll explain a few optional ways to add extra flourish, such as subtle bass-note walk-downs between a few of the chords. What a great song! I hope you enjoy.
